Brains vs. Brawn ELLE
Brains vs. BrawnMarch 29 11:57 AMby ELLE 0 Comments models at the Calvin Klein fall 07 presentation today Before coming into the office this morning, I stopped into the Calvin Klein fall press presentation, where I was greeted by a line of male models offering me orange juice and twisty glazed donuts. Those Calvin girls definitely know how to throw an event, that's for sure. Groups of models wearing the clothes were lounging on a double-sided, bleacher-like stack of stairs in the middle of the room. A lot of the looks were collegiate cool, very Ali MacGraw-inspired with the cozy coach outlet knits, jeans, and long scarves. It reminded me of school and kind of made me miss the more academic days of college when we would hunker down in the dorm lounges and have all-night group study sessions during finals week. Sometimes I miss that because while working in fashion takes a great deal of creativity and a good aesthetic eye, you're definitely NOT sitting around discussing the merits of Keats versus Wordsworth. And academia has always played a huge role in my life. The first present I ever remember getting from my parents was the book "Where the Wild Things Are" by Maurice coach outlet Sendak when I was four years old. http://english.ipp.ac.cn/coachoutlet365.html I turned into a total bookworm, reading my way through the entire young adult section of the bookstore by the time I was nine (yeah, I totally blame my parents for the permanent dork/nerd/loser status I established throughout childhood and into junior high. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING, MOM??!!). But anyway, coach factory I've always been a sucker for smarts. There's something about intelligence in a person that is so attractive, isn't there? Speaking of coach factory intellect, I met up with my friend SG last night to go to a screening of The Hoax (which was actually quite good) followed by a few rounds of drinks and lots of coach outlet factory online fried food at The Half King. A few hours into the night, he let it slip that he had scored a perfect 1600 on his SATs in high school. And while he's always been attractive, his hotness level went straight through the roof after that. There's nothing like a man with brains. But I guess his pretty blue-grey eyes don't hurt either.
